SHC technology is a continuous thermochemical feedstock processing process that uses a circulating solid heat carrier. The heat for pyrolysis is transferred through direct contact of the feedstock with hot ash produced by combustion of the residual organic mass of the semi-coke. This arrangement provides efficient recovery of process energy, stability of process parameters and the ability to build industrial complexes of various capacities.
SHC technology can process a wide range of feedstock and waste of various origins. The materials processed include solid fossil fuels such as oil shale, coal and peat, organic waste including tyres, plastics and RDF, as well as industrial waste — sewage sludge, oil-contaminated soils, and waste from woodworking and agriculture.
The technology is also applicable to processing feedstock with a significant mineral content and to thermal treatment of inorganic materials such as pyrite and various metal sulfides. This opens up opportunities for creating integrated solutions for processing both organic and mineral feedstock.

Oil shale, coal, peat.

Biomass and agricultural waste, municipal solid waste (MSW) and RDF, polymer waste including plastics and composites, rubber-containing waste including used tyres and rubber goods.

Oil sludge and oil-contaminated soils, sewage sludge, waste from woodworking and other industrial production.

Pyrite, metal sulfides, mineral-ballasted materials and waste.
Thanks to its high flexibility with respect to feedstock composition and the scalability of its solutions, the technology can be integrated into projects across a variety of industry profiles — from waste processing to building energy complexes and developing the resource base of regions.
Production of liquid hydrocarbons and chemical products from solid fuels and waste, diversification of the feedstock base and bringing non-conventional resources into industrial processing.
Bringing local fuel resources into the regional energy balance, building distributed generation facilities and increasing resource independence.
Integrated thermochemical processing of carbon-containing materials with the production of liquid and gaseous fuels as well as high value-added chemical products.
